Podcast Pick: How I Built This
Since I decided to start a blog about the little things in life, I thought it would only be appropriate to start by sharing one of my favorite podcasts: How I Built This. NPR’s Guy Raz (who I would very much like to be friends with) interviews some of the most creative and innovative minds behind some of the world’s best known companies creating some of my favorite little (and some not so little) things. The episode with Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield of Ben & Jerry’s (who I would also very much like to be friends with) is one of my favorites. Two childhood friends from Long Island decide to open a little ice cream shop in Burlington, VT and you all know how that turned out — if not, just check out the frozen ice cream section of any grocery store in America, then buy a pint of chocolate chip cookie dough and eat it immediately... you won’t be sorry — but how they got started is funny and fascinating! Take a listen.
